Foreign companies desiring to expand business in the region are interested in economic reforms in Moldova.

As the press-service of the government informs, the Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev declared this during Moldavian-Estonian business-forum, emphasizing that Moldova is especially interesting to foreign investors as the bridge between two great markets – EU and CIS. Vasile Tarlev welcomed Estonian businessmen, declaring that work of the forum will allow defining new and attractive fields of cooperation, business-partnership as well as guarantee new opportunities of further development of Moldavian-Estonian relations. Moldavian prime-minister noted, that by now all structures and economic institutions of Moldova are being reformed, the new system of market economy is created, and state policy is focused on attraction of investments into national economy. Vasile Tarlev declared, that Moldova offers unique opportunities for economic agents, noting that our country is the only state in Europe which applies nil corporate tax income rate. Vasile Tarlev informed Estonian businessmen that within last six years growth of GDP in Moldova made 7% p.a. and in the I half 2007-8%, respectively. More than 40 Moldavian businessmen as well as representatives of 17 Estonian companies participated in Moldavian-Estonian business forum on November 14 in Chisinau.
