In october 2007, inflation in Moldova made 1,6% and 10,7% since the beginning of the year.
According to the National bureau of statistics, in October 2007, prices for food stuffs grew by 2,4%, non-food-1,4% and tariffs for services-0,8%, respectively. The highest increase of prices for food stuffs was registered for: grapes (25,1%), diet eggs (0,5%), sunflower oil (18,6%) and fresh fruits (6,7%), including apples (16%). The highest increase in prices for non-food stuffs was registered for: coal (3,5 %), women's wear (2,1 %) and children's footwear (1,8 %). The increase in prices for potable water supply (10,8 %), hairdressers’ services ( 5,9 %), hotel services ( 5,4 %) and car repairs (4,2 %) was registered as well. At the same time, the reduction of prices for fresh cabbage (11,3 %), potatoes (9,2 %), carrots (4,1 %) and onions (on 2,6 %) was observed. For the last 12 months (October 2006-October 2007), inflation in Moldova made 14%.
