The rest of deposits in the banking system of Moldova in june 2007 increased as compared to the previous month by 552,3 mln leis (3,4%) and at th end of the month made16657,6 mln leis.
The National Bank of Moldova informs «InfoMarket» agency, this increase is due to the increase in the amount of deposits both in the national currency by 294,3 mln leis (3,5%) and foreign currency – by 258,0 mln leis (3,4%). In the total amount of deposits on the banking system the share of at-side deposits in comparison to the previous month remains 33,7%. The rest of at-side deposits in June made 5619,4 mln leis, 192,4 mln leis increase as compared to May 2007. The amount of term deposits in MDL in June 2007 increased by 359,9 mln leis (3,4%), and made 11038,2 mln leis. The rest of term deposits in MDL at the end of June made 5455,3 mln leis, 259,7 mln leis (5,0%) increase as compared to the previos month. The rest of term-deposits in foreign currency increased by 100,2 mln leis (1,8%) and made 5582,9 mln leis resulting from the growth in deposits from physical entities in foreign currency by 68,7 mln leis (1,4%), and legal entities deposits by 31,8 mln leis (5,4%). In June 2007 the amount of term deposits in foreign currency made 854,7 mln leis ($69,6 mln.), as compared to the previous month 11,6 mln leis increase (1,4%) due to increase in physical entities deposits by 20,2 mln leis (2,7%), while the amount of deposits of legal entities decreased by 8,6 mln leis (8,3%).
