In the first quarter of 2007, amount of transactions with banking cards issued in Moldova made 1,662 billion leis ($134 mln.), increasing by 49%, as compared to the same period of 2005.

As «InfoMarket» agency was informed in NBM, amount of transactions with the cards of local payment systems grew by 26,3% - from 3,8 mln. to 4,8 mln. leis and by 49%- with the cards of international payment systems-from 1 billion 111,7 mln. leis to 1 billion 657,3 mln. leis, respectively. According to NBM data, amount of transactions executed abroad with banking cards issued in Moldova grew by 38,9%-from 89,6 mln. to 124,5 mln. leis and amount of transactions with banking cards issued abroad doubled-from 151,2 mln. to 297,8 mln. leis.
