IN 2006, RETAIL TURNOVER IN MOLDOVA MADE UP 23,361 MLN. LEIS, INCREASING AT 6,9% AS COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS YEAR.
As «InfoMarket» agency was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, the growth was stipulated mostly by the increase of sales of trade enterprise which sold consumer goods for 13601,3 mln. leis (58,2% of total sales’ volume) , what is 9,9% more than in 2005. At the same time, market’s sales made up 9759,5 mln. leis or 2,9% more. Economic agents with private form of property sold goods for 9362,5 mln. leis (68,8% of total sales’ volume, or 9,9% more as compared to 2005. Trade enterprises with public and joint (foreign capital) forms of property increased sales’ volume at 22,1% or 14,7% correspondingly. Meanwhile, enterprises with mixed (public and private) forms of property reduced sales’ volumes at 14,3%. By January 1, 2007, enterprises of retail trade possessed stocks of 2632,1 mln. leis or 14.2% more than by January 1, 2006. The leaders are Chisinau -56,3% and Balti-8,9%. Then follows: Gagauzia-2,8%, Ungheni and Orhei regions-2% each, Cahul region-1,9% and Drocia region-1,6%.
