IN 2007 WB WILL PROVIDE SMALL GRANTS FOR RURAL YOUTH SUPPORT.
As InfoMarket agency was informed in Chisinau WB office, new program of small grants for 2007 „Civil participation of rural youth” is presupposed for non-governmental institutions (NGI) aimed at intensifying youth’s role in rural area. Preference will be given to the projects prepared by rural NGI or in collaboration with national NGI which presupposes active youth’s participation in public-economic situation’s improvement and poverty level reduction. Size of grants varies from $2 to $6 000. Details of the program can be found at www.worldbank.org.md. Deadline for applications’ handing is March 15. WB small grants program ahs been performed in Moldova since 1998. In time of this period WB provided grants of $365 000 to 87 non-governmental institutions of Moldova.
