As «InfoMarket» agency was informed in the press service of the Ministry of economy and trade in time of the seminars patents’ owners get detailed information of the reforming business patents system and transition to other organizational-juridical forms of business activity. It is planned to hold 35 zonal meetings till February 1. First 2 of them were already held in Anenii-Noi and Chisinau. As «InfoMarket» agency informed before on July 7, 2006 amendments to the Law of business patent presupposing stage-by-stage reduction of kinds of activity on the basis of business patent came into force. According to the statements of the law since August 2006 trade of excise goods as well as sale of electronic and household equipment on the basis of patent will be restricted. Since January 1, 2007 trade of construction materials, furniture and household goods will be prohibited and provision of a number of services on the basis of business patent is abolished. According to the amendments the following trade services will be prohibited since January 12, 2007: trade of electronic and eclectic goods with fixed exploitation term, transportation of more than 7 passengers by the taxi, cargo-car transportation (excluding transportation of explosive, fire dangerous, toxic, poisoning and radioactive loads); production, processing and sale of lime; growing flowers and their sale. According to the amendments beginning with 2008 retail trade in the kiosks and other buildings occupying separate lots of land not more than 7 sq. meters will be prohibited. Since January 1, 2009 the owners of the patent are not allowed to perform trade from the lots, counters and cars at the markets; retail trade of bottled water; retail trade of books and other editions from the lots, counters and other trade points; leasing flats, dwelling houses, places in them and also leasing of non-dwelling spaces (garages, sheds, store-houses and pavilions). Besides this the owners will personally provide payments to the social fund for getting minimal pension in future. Term of activity on the basis of patent is included in the total length of service. At present time there are about 40 000 of business patents’ owners in Moldova. Monthly size of the patent constitutes 21-420 lei in the town and 7-70 lei in the rural area. The law proposes facilitated and free of charge procedure of registration as individual businessmen to physical persons terminating their activity on the basis of patent. Private and small enterprises get complete release from income tax for 3 years and 35% release for future 2 years.
