The National bank of Moldova has approved the regulations on the Automated System of Interbank Payments (ASIP).
The resolution, published in «Monitorul Oficial» notes that the Regulations will come in force on April 21, 2006, that the ASIP is the system, used to make interbank payments in MDL on the territory of Moldova. The ASIP consists of the system of the gross settlement of payments in the real time regime (GSPRTR) and the clearing system with the calculation of the netto positions. The GSPRTR is designed for the processing of urgent and grand payments and the clearing system is designed for the processing of payments into small sums. The document fixes the structure, the functions and the participants of the Automated System of Interbank Payments in the real time regime, in the clearing system with the calculation of the netto and so on. The NBM, the banks, licensed by the NBM and the Tiraspol calculation- cashier’s center participate in the ASIP.
